Two questions we hear most often: “Should I choose Standard or Premium?” and “How long is my medical valid?” Here are clear answers, plus tips that save time.
Standard vs Premium – the difference
| Standard | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| Medical centre | Allotted by the system | You can request a preferred centre |
| Date | Next available as allotted | You can request a preferred date |
| Official cost | Base charge | Usually an extra official charge |
| Best for | Most applicants | Tight deadlines or specific centre needs |
Choose Premium if you have a fixed joining date, need a centre near your home, or want to plan travel to a specific date. Otherwise, Standard is enough for most people.
Preferred dates and centres are always subject to availability. No one can guarantee a specific slot.
How long is a GAMCA medical report valid?
Validity is decided by the destination country and is commonly around 3 months from the date of the examination. If your visa process will take longer, your report may expire and you may need a new medical. Confirm current rules with your employer or agency.
7 tips to avoid delays
- Book after your visa process starts – not months before.
- Match every detail to your passport – spelling, order of names, dates.
- Check passport validity – at least 6 months is recommended.
- Use the right visa type and position – copy from your visa/offer letter.
- One form per person – family members each need their own booking.
- Keep WhatsApp active – slips and updates are sent there.
- Arrive early on medical day and carry all required documents.
What if I am declared unfit?
Medical decisions are made only by the medical centre according to GCC standards. If you have questions about your result, speak to the medical centre directly. Be cautious of anyone offering to “change” results – this is illegal and a common scam.
